Film classifications in Britian

The classification is just a guidline that helps you to make your own descion about if you want to see the film or not. A film is first viewed by a group of people and is then analysed and different sections are then placed into different age groups. The makers of the film then have the choice to change the parts that have been rated a higher age range or keep them the same but will have to have the age certificate that has been given to the film. Some producers will want blood and gore, sex and violence, which will then have a higher age rating.
