Target audience

A target audience is very important in creating and making a film. You must target a specfic age group for your movie, for example if you want to create a horror movie then you must target the 16-25 area because this is the age group that would be more likely to see a horror movie. Another reason you must pick a target audience is because A specfic film is always targeted at a specific age group for example a horror wouldnt be targeted at young people below the age of 15 because the violence and gore invovled is too strong to show this age group and a anamation is targeted at young people from the ages of 3+ and wouldnt interest most teenagers. When deciding on a target audience some film makers often take gender into account as well.

Below is a list of the types of Target audiences and there definitions:

- Active -
- Passive -
- Prefered -
- Headonist- They want to try something new sometimes.
- Traditionalist - People who stick to what they know
- Post-Modenist- Take something modern and make it more modern. EG: Scream, Scary movie

Titles

Titles are used so that the viewer knows what the film, documentary etc is called or who is in it. There are many types of titles. A main title is used so the viewer knows what the film etc is called and gives the viewer the information they need in a one word or line answer. Titles are also used in the credits and are in the form of names or services that were involved in the process of creating and developing the film. A title can also be used to outline something that may belong to someone as well.
