Male conventions of film noir

The typical male conventions of film noir is that he is portrayed as being strong and fearless but does not say much in his role. Sometimes they are shown as being the hero and saving someone from danger. In film noir he gets into trouble but mostly gets out without being injured or killed.

In our 2 minute opening title sequence we did not use a femme fatale because she wouldn't have fitted the story line and if we used her instead of our main character it wouldn't have looked as creepy only males. The typical conventions of a male in film noir are perfect for our all male cast.. We are going to use this type of male in our OTS (Opening title Sequence.) This is because we are doing a film noir style OTS but with a modern twist to it. This means that the usual fearless hero who always survives the odds is changed in our modern Film.
